December "WONG NOTES"

Well, I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with Family, Friends, and Turkey with all the trimmings. It has been quiet here in New York. Everyone's preparing for the Holidays. When the Mayor told the Nation to come to New York because our economy was suffering, I think they all came. There are more Sales and Bargains around and more people than a Fire Sale at Filene's Basement.

On another note the Christmas Show at Radio City is the best bargain in town. I never get tired of seeing the numbers and the Rockettes. Bobby Longbottom's Raindeer number, Dancing Bears and 50 Dancing Santas are just so inventive, clever and entertaining.

PRISCILLA LOPEZ is getting ready to go into ARCI'S on Dec 15 with her One Woman Show. Hope we can get some photos of her. Best of Luck PRISCILLA.

LANCE ASTON (Don - LONDON) wrote in to let us know he's been living in LA the last 13 years after marrying, as he puts it, "a Yankee". They have a 10 year old son named MAX and are very happy. After running a Music Video Company for three years in the UK he came to LA and is still involved with Film and Video. He's started the website achorusline.com to develop new plays all written by the candidates who write in. Any writers out there, log on - maybe your play will get to workshop.

SAMMY WILLIAMS (Original Paul) sent us a notice that he has been cast in the show DOING JUDY opening at the MATRIX THEATER in HOLLYWOOD in January. GOOD LUCK SAMMY! Let us know how it's all going and maybe we can get some photos of your rehearsals.

CHERYL CLARK (Cassie - B'way) says she is working as a freelance paralegal along with being a choreographer. She will be choreographing LOS FLORISTOS CHARITY BALL at the BEVERLY HILLS HILTON in 2002. LOS FLORISTOS CHARITY is the oldest charity in LOS ANGELES dedicated to crippled children's hospitals. Her daughter MIMI, who grew up on the VISA TOUR, is now 14 and as tall as her mother. Oh, those BALANCHINE GIRLS. HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHERYL.

PER-BIRGER STENUDD (Don - Stockholm) says he danced with the ROYAL SWEDISH BALLET from 1974-1999 when he retired. For one year he was in PHANTOM OF THE OPERA at the OSCARS THEATER where we performed ACL. He now runs his own small electric company, but still does photo shoots, commercials and is back on stage in the new production of SWAN LAKE and GISELLE. Read more about PER-BIRGER in UPDATES.

MICHAEL GORMAN (Bobby - B'way) is busy with auditions for TAFFETAS. He starts rehearsal Jan 4. In DENVER. MICHAEL says he has no dish, but he's very HAPPY.

TIM FEDERLE (Mark - 2001 Tour) was so wonderful in the CHRISTMAS SHOW at RADIO CITY.

GREG DANIELS (Al - European Tour) is in the CHRISTMAS SHOW also.

J. ELAINE MARCOS (Connie -VISA Tour) is assistant choreographer for the GYPSY OF THE YEAR.

LUIS VILLABON (Paul - 2001 tour) is leaving NAKED BOYS SINGING to head out to LA. He'll be in great company with Paula Abdul and MICHAEL JORDAN.

I'll be off to Switzerland for the Holidays. Rehearsing Superstar at my friend Klaus Stauffer's studios in Langenthal, Switzerland. Then the company is off to Russelsheim outside of Frankfurt, Germany for the opening. I'll take my computer to let you know how things are going.
