Christine Toy Johnson is currently in the Broadway tour of Flower Drum Song, playing Rita Liang.

Michael Serrecchia is now the owner of M2 Galleries with galleries in New York, Dallas and Chicago, and more to come! The gala opening in New York is set for the evening of January 21. Howard Levitsky writes that he's working as a sub keyboardist on B'way (Chicago and Beauty and the Beast), as well as a rehearsal/audition pianist, music copyist (Laughing Room Only was his first B'way music prep credit), composing cabaret and theater music and arranging for cabaret performers. He music directed Sarah Plain and Tall for Theaterworks USA. And he's a vocal coach/accompanist. E-mail him at

Stefan Nagel wrote to say that he's developed his own Big Band (15 musicians). "It's the swingiest Big Band in Germany." He's currently looking for a producer to set up a tour. Read his e-Note here.

Matthew Kilgore wrote to say that he's currently "performing in the ensemble of Annie Get Your Gun at the Marriott Theatre in Lincolnshire, IL. Having a great time working in the US again after spending 9 of 12 months last year overseas.... Say 'hi' to the City for me."

Erin Malloy is heading back to NYC from Thailand. She comes back as a certified yoga instructor and with scuba diving certification as well.

Jan Leigh Herndon has kept busy performinmg in The Sound of Music, The World Goes 'Round and more. She writes that, "No matter what show I'm in, I always come in contact with someone who was at one time very connected to our beloved show. I'll always be grateful for the history the show gave me and so many other people. And I'll always feel a closeness of heart to those who have experienced it the way we did." Lemuel Wade is in Munich, performing his music at Club Pacha. He's also working in the studio and preparing the actors to sing music he's written for an upcoming film.

Lonnie Cooper is living in Greeley, CO and is the Director of Cultural Affairs for the City.

Denise Wendt writes, "Myself as well as my husband Michael Carey (Asst.Carpenter '96-'97 tour...) are still going strong together as well as in the business. I just finished the last 8 months as the ASM on Nat'l Tour of Disney's Beauty & The Beast & Michael is Head Carpenter on Disney's The Lion King Tour (Cheetah Company).On a personal note, we're expecting our first child in January '04. Who'd have thought that would ever happen!!!

Merete Muenter tells us:

Frank Liberti recently did the movie The Stepford Wives starring Nicole Kidman, Matthew Broderick and Bette Midler. Another movie he was in was also just released, called Dummy, which stars Adrian Brody. He was also in the films The Guru which stars Marissa Tomei, and No Such Thing, which stars Helen Mirren. He has a couple of cartoon credits as well. He is the voice of "Professor Elm" on POKEMON, and his voice is also on the Disney cartoon series called "Pinky Dinky Doo". His most recent commercials are for MSN where he plays a butterfly, and he is also on a 1-800 Fed-INFO commercial....So he's a busy boy!

Denis Jones is in the new Broadway musical Never Gonna Dance.

Jennifer Brooks is currently in her fifth production of A Chorus Line in Fort Myers, FL at the Broadway Palm Theater, in the role of Maggie, understudying Cassie. The show is set by Patti Wilcoxson. She welcomes e-mail at:

Yolanda Rubio, (now Rubio-Soto) who played Diana Morales in the 1981 National Company of a Chorus Line wrote to tell us, "I left the show due to a serious knee injury and was replaced by Roxann Cabellero, now Roxann Dawson. I can certainly sing 'What I Did For Love' with heartfelt sincerity."

Jason DeBord writes that he is, "The music director of the National Tour of Urinetown: The Musical."

Devanand Janki (Richie - Regional) has choreographed the New Fairy Tale Musical Zanna, Don't!. Now playing at the John Houseman Theater, 450 West 42nd Street. See Following the Line for details.

Susie Fenner-Heider writes: "I'm married to a wonderful guy, John Heider with two great kids Emily (14) and Sean (11) and living in Michigan. Besides raising a family - I'm also busy doing some choreography for Children's Music Workshop here. My husband and I also started our own theatre company (New Horizon Theatre Co.) in 2001 and did our first production of Arms and the Man by George Bernard Shaw with a very positive response!

Steven Hack wrote to tell us, "I moved from New York to Los Angeles about 12 years ago and have been working regularly in television and movies, including many of the top shows from Everybody Loves Raymond to The West Wing and several upcoming movies. I live around the corner from Kay Cole and see her every once in a while. Haven't danced much, though I did write a one-man show, which I'm reprising this summer, and in it I do dance and even have a whole section devoted to A Chorus Line. And recently, when a friend who'd never done ACL was going off to play Zach in a production, he hired me to teach him the opening combination and One. The choreography is permanently planted in my brain, even though I haven't done the show for 20 years."

Russell Nickerson steps off the line this month to play Zack in McCoy/Rigby's production of ACL. "I will also be reteamed with Kay Cole who I adore and have assisted on another production of A Chorus Line in San Jose, The Music Man with Eric McCormick and Kristin Chenowyth last year at the Hollywood Bowl, as well as numerous other projects in the L.A area. It looks like we have a very talented cast for this upcoming production and I am looking forward to a wonderful experience."

Danny Herman wrote to tell us that he has been busy.... among his achievements: he has received Chicagošs Jeff Award, Artisan Award, and After Dark Award, was awarded a Platinum Album for his contributions to the record breaking Tabaluga and Lilli, and co-directed and co-choreographed the acclaimed Dreamgirls - the 20th Anniversary Benefit Concert, raising over a million dollars for The Actors' Fund. Danny has recently appeared in the original Broadway and Off-Broadway productions of Contact. He is currently developing The NEW Revue premiering this summer at the Mountain Laurel Center for the Performing Arts in Tamiment, Pennsylvania.

Connie Baker wrote totell us, "I live in NYC and married January 1, 2001 to John Sabo, a technical director and owner of Sketch-Lite Productions, a production company that specializes in special effects and show motion control, they also build sets or anything you can dream of, he can engineer and create it. We had a baby girl on December 6, 2002. Her name is Kristine Ogena Sabo, after my first and favorite role in A Chorus Line."

Lee Wilson is liviong in West L.A. He won the 2002 Movieguide Award as writer/producer of "The Miracle of the Cards" which was produced for PAX TV and Viacom. He is currently working on a family adventure movie for PAX and BuenaVista International. Read his e-note for more details.
