2001 Tour Opening Night at Paper Mill Playhouse

A Chorus Line opened to exuberant response at the Paper Mill Playhouse on September 7. Before the show a number of the Original Broadway Cast were introduced to the audience. Their presence led an extra level of energy to the evening as many of them were watching their own story being performed on stage along with the audience. From the first note of the rehearsal piano the show took off like a lightning bolt and was greeted with a deep sense of enthusiasm and love from the audience. Amazingly sitting next to each other were members of the Original Cast and subscribers to the Paper Mill Playhouse, some of whom had never been exposed to A Chorus Line before this performance. Below are some pictures from after the performance. We will also add some production photos as soon as they are ready. Legendary Broadway caricaturist was in the audience with his sketchpad and pencils. Watch for his interpretation of the show to be posted soon.
